i love our doctor..

went to the pediatrician today, with both boys..my favorite part is the weight check...well, its my favorite part when it is a good outcome ;) as of today.. ronnie weighs in at 4 lbs 13 oz, and joey is a whopping 5 lbs 2 oz...i could just look at him the last 2 days and tell he had really grown...awwww, im so proud!
I am also so happy with how proactive our doc is with the boys' reflux issues..they both are having such a hard time, and can't be put down until at least 30 minutes after they eat, and even then they throw up. feeding joey is as though you are torturing him, yet he is starving, and ronnie had a scary choking on spit-up episode this morning.
So our doc called the children's hospital and spoke with their GI doc, and not only do we have an appointment, but we have a treatment plan until then, thank GOD! we are starting prevacid, and thickening their milk tonight, I hope so much it does the trick, i hate seeing my boys in any any amount of pain..
well..speaking of, the dinner bell calls, well.... the dinner YELL calls..

the afterbath

the bath was so much fun last night, it was their first "real" bath since being home. i have been giving them sponge baths, but since they were still healing from their circumcisions (poor boys)...we didn't have a real bath until last night..
Joey actually kind of loved his, Ronnie not quite as much...but he was happy afterwards, and he gets so darn fluffy, you can't really even understand how fluffy his little head of hair gets, its so beautiful :)
here he is, afterbath, ready to eat...how could you not love those eyes?

then this morning i realized...i have the life (disclaimer no, we do not sleep with them in the bed)

i'm the luckiest girl in the world

what happened?

well, the boys are asleep...so i thought i would finally add all of the pictures that i meant to add for the past 2 months, then i will try and keep everybody up on current events with more frequent updates, promise ;)

sooo..here is a pic of me at 26 weeks, just for an idea of how big i was getting

a couple of weeks later we had the shower, thrown for us by the Lowder and O'Brien families..it was wonderful... great food, great friends..and i didn't see these pics until after the boys were here. at that time i was shocked by that one picture, seeing just how big i was.

so...next thing i knew (well..next week) we are in the hospital (twice), here we are before the surgery. This was probably about 1 am, Ron had just gotten there after leaving his band between sets when he got the call..

Ronnie's first picture..

Joey's first pic...

then they were taken to the special care nursery..where they were put on CPAP, and daddy got to see them while mommy was recovering

we had tons of pics from the next few weeks, some of which i have already posted..but lets fast forward to....

the boys are home!
joey came home 2 weeks (wow) ago tomorrow

and ronnie came home 2 days later

and now we are all together again!

well, its about to be bath time (maybe pics soon ;) soo...hope you enjoyed the catching up! more soon,
lots of love,
nora, ron, ronnie and joey

Meet Ronnie and Joey...

Okay! Finally I have a few minutes to update :)
Everyone is doing well.. I am all healed up, although I would never recommend a C-section if anyone can help it.
The boys are doing great, they are steadily gaining weight and have just started eating by mouth in addition to their tube feedings. As of today, Ronnie weighs 3 lbs 14 oz and Joey weighs 3 lbs 15 oz.
No ideas yet as to when they might be coming come, but they have been progressing so well, hopefully it won't be more than a few more weeks.
Nothing could have prepared us for how much we would love these little guys, we can't wait to have them home!
Here are some pics..
